Land of Aloha Black

　This iconic “Land of Aloha” design recreates a piece produced by Hale Hawaii in the early 1950s, known as a timeless classic and a definitive masterpiece in the world of aloha shirts.

　Vibrant Hawaiian motifs express the joy of island living. Symbols like King Kamehameha, the ukulele, tropical fish, lush plants, and exotic fruits are depicted alongside the lively figure of a woman preparing a lei.

　This reissue was commissioned by the renowned Honolulu establishment, Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts. The shirt achieved legendary status when the late Anthony Bourdain visited Bailey's and purchased an original vintage version of this “Land of Aloha” shirt for $2,000, further cementing its fame.

この象徴的な「ランドオブアロハ」デザインは、1950年代初頭にハレ・ハワイが制作した作品を再現したもので、時代を超えたクラシックとして、またアロハシャツの世界における決定的な傑作として知られています。

鮮やかなハワイアンモチーフが、島暮らしの歓喜を表現しています。カメハメハ大王、ウクレレ、熱帯魚、豊かな植物、そしてエキゾチックな果実といったシンボルとともに、レイを準備する女性の活気ある姿が表現されています。

この復刻版は、ホノルルで有名な「ベイリーズ・アンティークス・アンド・アロハシャツ」からの依頼がきっかけで制作されました。さらにこのシャツが伝説的な地位を確立したのは、故アンソニー・ボーディン氏がベイリーズを訪れ、この「ランド・オブ・アロハ」シャツのオリジナル・ビンテージ版を2,000ドルで購入したことで、さらに名を広めました。
