"Holo Mu'u" We were found at vintage wear shop, and we made this dress with our fabric. It is a very classic dress.
It is ankle length and has a slit. it has a ribbon and can be adjusted.
1950年代初めの「HALE HAWAII」社の復刻。このランドオブアロハはアロハシャツでは古典、また王道の柄である。モチーフはハワイアナ。 女性がレイを用意し出迎えるシーン、カメハメハ大王、ウクレレ、魚、植物、フルーツなど。ハワイの生活がふんだんに取り入れている。楽しさが伝わってくる柄で、賑やかだ。
復刻に関しては、ホノルルの「ベーリーズアンティーク」からぜひやって欲しいとリクエストがあった。「ANTHONY BOURDAIN」というアメリカで超有名なコメディアンが、ベーリーズを訪れた際に、そのオリジナルヴィンテージ ランドオブアロハを、2000ドルで購入した。トラベルチャンネルというテレビ局が、その模様を放送した。その放送はYOUTUBEに流され、ベーリーズにはこのシャツを求めて客がやってきたのだ。それが10年ほど前。残念ながら今年ANTHONY BOURDAINは亡くなってしまった。
この配色は僕が付けたオリジナルである。ロイヤルをグランドに黄色、緑、グレーなど8色使っている
ホロムーと呼ばれるこのドレスはベイリーズに飾られていたヴィンテージドレスの中のひとつでした。特徴的な袖を持ち、マキシ丈と呼ばれるくるぶしまであるエレガントなスタイル、サイドにスリットが入っているため、歩きやすく、チラリと見える脚がセクシーかも(笑）
